After more than a decade of operation in Sabah, INTAN Sabah has successfully trained countless civil servants from Sabah and Federal Territory of Labuan in the most cost effective manner without compromising quality and maintaining its impact to the public service.

The official opening of the new campus in Tuaran, Sabah by Dato’ Sri Mohd. Najib bin Tun Hj Abdul Razak was a momentous event that signifies INTAN as the main catalyst of public service training excellence. The completion of the new campus further boosts services provided by INTAN particularly in providing comprehensive training infrastructures and a conducive learning environment.

INTAN Sabah is committed to playing a more significant role in facilitating transformation in government administration and in the country. To realise this aspiration, INTAN has restructured, realigned and refocused its training programmes to meet current needs of civil servants and at the same time ensuring these needs correspond with those of the stakeholders’. In the process, a New INTAN concept was introduced to streamline the implementation strategy outlined in the 2011-2015 INTAN Strategic Plan.

INTAN Sabah’s prominent role is more of a staff college focusing on enhancing competency of civil servants, mainly the support group, covering an all-encompassing scope to enhance their attitude, knowledge and skills.  Furthermore, in its quest to produce more subject matter experts, resolute efforts are underway to turn the campus into the Centre for Excellence in Quality Environment System (QES/5S).

Finally, I would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to all concerned for their unwavering support which has contributed to the success of INTAN Sabah from its inception to the present. It is hoped that with continuous cooperation and support, INTAN Sabah will soar to greater heights in future.
