1. Who are eligible to undergo training at INTAN?

All civil servants are eligible to undergo training at INTAN.

2. How to apply for courses at INTAN?

Application can be made online via INTAN’s portal at www.intanbk.intan.my through the following steps:
  1. Click on the Courses Application link under the Online Services menu
  2. Click on the “Permohonan Kursus” icon
  3. Select a campus
  4. Choose a category or type in the name of the course
  5. Click on the ‘link’ of the course’s name
  6. Click on “Course Application”

3. Is the permission/approval of the Head of Department/Supervisor required for online application?

Yes, an email notification or confirmation will be sent automatically to the Head of Department/Supervisor when the application is made. Applicants are advised to submit the accurate information of their Head Department/Supervisor when filling in the applications online.

4. What happens if the Head of Department/Supervisor disapprove the application?

An email notification will be sent automatically to the course coordinator if the Head of Department/Supervisor disapproves the application made by their officer. The application will then be nullified.

5. How do applicants choose the suitable course for them?

Applicants can check the course catalog which contains information such as course objectives, course duration, dates as well as target groups of the particular course via http://www.online-itims.intan.my/itims/courses_catalogue/crs_course_list.php .  Through this information, the applicant may choose courses which are suitable to their needs.

6. How do applicants know if the course is still open for application?

The status of the applications either it is open or has closed is stated at the course’s information in the course catalog at www.intanbk.intan.my.

7. When will the course application close?

The course application will be closed two (2) weeks prior to the course commencement date.

8. How do applicants check for the status of their application?

Applicants can check the status of their applications one (1) month before the course begins or by contacting the course’s secretariat or via http://www.online-itims.intan.my/itims/courses_status/on_status.php.

9. Who is the contact person for any inquiries about a scheduled course?

The detail of the course’s secretariat is stated at the course’s information in the course catalog at www.intanbk.intan.my.

10. If an application is unsuccessful, can appeals be made?

Appeals can be submitted to the respective Program Coordinator.  However, the final decision is under the prerogative of INTAN.
 

11. What action will be taken to the participants who fail to attend a course after confirmation of attendance is made?

INTAN will inform the Head of Department/Supervisor for the failure of his/her officer to attend the course after confirmation of attendance is made.
