Research Colloquium is a signature programme annually organized by the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) in collaboration with the Human Capital Development Division, Public Service Department. The Colloquium aims to instill a research culture among civil servants as well as to provide a platform for sharing ideas and research findings of civil servants whilst undergoing their postgraduate studies under the Public Service Department’s sponsorship.

The Colloquium was created for the benefit of civil servants involved in policy planning and implementation of policies, as well as officers aspiring to pursue their postgraduate studies. Papers are presented under various themes dependent on the research done by officers who completed their studies under the Hadiah Latihan Persekutuan (HLP), a federal scholarship program. The themes are Science & Environmental Sustainability, Social Science & Human Development, IT & Technology, Governance & Public Policy, Economy, Finance and Security.
