The Journal of Economics and Policy (JEP) is an annual, peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal published by the Institut Tadbiran Awam Negara (INTAN). The journal provides a platform for the dissemination of research and policy-relevant scholarship in economics, business, finance, trade and public policy.

JEP seeks to encourage critical thinking, disseminate knowledge, strengthen professional expertise and support evidence-based policymaking, with particular relevance to Malaysia and the public sector.

The journal welcomes empirical, conceptual, and analytical contributions that provide insights into policymaking, policy implementation, and evidence-based decision-making in the following areas:

• ECONOMICS
  Macroeconomics, microeconomics, development economics, labour economics, and other economic issues relevant to Malaysia and the wider regional and global environment.
• BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT
  Business, management, and organisational issues with implications for economic development, public-sector management, or public policy.
• FINANCE AND PUBLIC FINANCE
  Fiscal policy, taxation, public expenditure, financial systems, public financial management, and related financial issues.
• INTERNATIONAL TRADE AND ECONOMIC RELATIONS
  International trade, investment, economic integration, regional cooperation, and developments in the global economy and their policy implications.
• PUBLIC POLICY AND GOVERNANCE
  Policy formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, public-sector governance, institutional development, and evidence-based decision-making.
