Since its inception in 1996, the Public Sector Conference has been an annually organized programme hosted by the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) and held in collaboration with the Association of Administrative and Diplomatic Corp (PPTD). The objectives of the conference are:
-
to provide a forum for discussion on current issues pertaining to the public sector;
-
to promote awareness and knowledge of future challenges towards public service delivery excellence;
-
to provide exposure to new ideas and implementation systems towards enhancing service delivery;
-
to elicit multiple-source feedbacks on the role of public servants especially from the private sector and high-ranking government retirees; and
-
to promote networking among public servants and the private sector both domestically and internationally.
The proceedings of the PSC will be prepared and disseminated to all government agencies. The various recommendations and conclusions that flow from the conference are then further researched and developed for future implementations, with the proceedings serving as a primary reference for government agencies to design their respective strategies and action plans.
