
About Us
INTAN Sabah was established on 15 June 2001 and operated temporarily at the Sabah Federal Secretary's Office, Federal House, Kota Kinabalu and at Wisma Perindustrian, Likas before moving permanently to the existing campus in the Tuaran district. The INTAN Sabah campus was constructed on a 80-acre land and commenced operations on 9 December 2008.
The Sabah Regional Campus was inaugurated in full glory on 16 September 2010 by YAB Dato 'Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak, the then Prime Minister of Malaysia in conjunction with Malaysia Day Celebration.
INTAN Sabah Campus has been designed with customer-friendly elements, stunning natural scenery and local architecture in mind. It has five main components namely Administrative and Academic Block, Mini Mosque, Accommodation Hostel, Leisure Facilities and Quarters. All main buildings are connected to each other to facilitate the movement of INTAN Sabah residents as well as course participants.
Expertise
In line with the rebranding of INTAN Malaysia, the regional campuses have been appointed as centres of excellence (COE) for specific areas that have been identified and INTAN Sabah is designated as a Centre of Excellence in Office Environment Management. The development of this centre of expertise aims to assist government departments and agencies by contributing to the process of transformation and improvement of organizational management that prioritise aspects of best governance. A top quality, efficient, effective and consistent organizational management will add value to the corporate image of an organization and at the same time give a positive impact on the delivery of organizational services to customers.
INTAN Sabah Campus offers various courses to improve the competence level of civil servants such as courses related to human resource management, financial management, quality management, governance, professional development and information technology. In addition, INTAN Sabah Campus also provides consultation services, advisory services and research as well as conducts seminar programmes and executive talks for all Federal and State government agencies.
The courses offered at INTAN Sabah Campus are for a short period of three to five days only. The main target participants are comprised of state and federal service civil servants working in Sabah and the Federal Territory of Labuan.
