The National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) is a public training center under Public Service Department of Malaysia whose role is to carry out training in attitude development, skill strengthening and knowledge empowerment of public officers as well as conducting research, consultancy and publication activities to equip public officers with talents, abilities and constructive thinking.
INTAN's is located in Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur, with five (5) regional campuses as follows:
- INTURA, the northern regional campus in Sungai Petani, Kedah
- IKWAS, the southern regional campus in Kluang, Johor
- INTIM, the eastern regional campus in Kemaman, Terengganu
- INTAN Sabah in Tuaran, Sabah; and
- INTAN Sarawak in Kota Samarahan, Sarawak.

- Click "Apply for Course" under the Online Course Registration banner on the Homepage; or
- Click the "Online Services" menu, select "Online Course/Program Application" and select "Digital Training Information & Management System (DTIMS)"
Yes, an email notification or confirmation will be sent automatically to the Head of Department/Supervisor when the application is made. Applicants are advised to submit accurate information of their Head Department/Supervisor when filling in the applications online.
An email notification will be sent automatically to the course coordinator if the Head of Department/Supervisor disapproves the application made by their officer. The application will then be nullified.

Applicants can check the Course Catalog which contains information such as the course objectives, course duration, course date and target group. Through this information, applicants can choose a course that suits their needs
The status of the course application whether it is still open or has been closed is stated in the course information in the Course Catalog at https://www.dtims.intan.my/list_course/all
Applicants can check the DTIMS portal https://www.dtims.intan.my. Click on the User Accounts menu and click Login.
The list of successful course applications received will be listed on the User Dashboard -> Application List.
If the application is still in progress, the applicant may make enquiries to the secretariat of the relevant course.
The application period for a course will close one month before the course starts.

Appeals can be submitted to the respective Program Coordinator. However, final decision is under the prerogative of INTAN.
INTAN will inform the Head of Department/Supervisor for the failure of his/her officer to attend the course after confirmation of attendance is made.

If you are not a member of INTAN Library, but the Library/Resource Center in your Ministry/Department/Agency has become a member of the Library Loan Scheme (SPP), then you can borrow reading materials at INTAN Library with the conditions set by SPP. If you do not have SPP facilities, you can send an official letter requesting for a material loan to INTAN Library for consideration.
No, Master's/PhD Degree Preparatory Course can only be followed by prospective recipients of the Federal Training Prize and Full Paid Study Leave without Scholarship (CBBPTB) under the PSD.
INTAN’s Postgraduate Diploma in Public Management Programme (DPA) is a 10-month course which is designed comprehensively as a pre-requisite for the appointment into Administrative and Diplomatic Services Scheme. DPA Programme has been granted full accreditation by Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) effective 30th December 2015.
Advanced Leadership and Management Programme (ALMP) is a mandatory course or COMPULSORY course for public service officers who hold Jawatan Utama Sektor Awam (JUSA). It is carried out under the Centre of Leadership Excellence, INTAN Main Campus Bukit Kiara. For more information, click "Online Services", select "Online System" and select "Advanced Leadership and Management Programme (ALMP)".
EPSA (e-Learning Public Sector) course is an online training to provide convenience for civil servants to attend courses anytime, anywhere. Civil servants undergoing the EPSA course are eligible to obtain certificates of course days according to the conditions set.

ISAC assessment is carried out to assess the level of understanding and skills of the use of information and communication technology (ICT) among public sector personnel. It is a tool to measure the readiness of public sector personnel to work within Electronic Government environment in terms of knowledge and skills in the basic use of commonly used ICT software.
ISAC Assessment Participants are divided into 2 : -
1. Individual
Consists of Assistant Office Secretary Grade N19, Administrative Assistant (Clerical / Operation) Grade N19, Administrative Assistant (Financial) Grade W19, Customer Service Officer Grade N19 and Office Secretary Grade N29 in which ISAC is a prerequisite for confirmation of their service.
2. Groups
Consists of selected staff from Ministries / Departments / Agencies who apply for ISAC Assessment in groups. This request depends on the Ministry / Department / Agency whether to meet the requirements of ISP or their respective policies.

The application letter will be extended to the relevant Centre/Programme/Unit within 1 week from the date of the receipt of the letter. If the title of the course/course module is not relevant, or there is no expertise, the Office of the Senior Deputy Director of INTAN will inform the Ministry/ Department /Agency directly.
